Influence of hydrogen diffusion on the solar p-mode spectrum

چکیده
We have introduced hydrogen diffusion in our evolution code in such a way that the chemical composition is computed taking simultaneously into account diffusion and nuclear reactions. The first model was obtained with the diffusion coefficients given by Thoul et al.(1995). Its frequencies show that the model should be improved. Five other models been have obtained with modifications of the diffusion coefficients and/or an increase of the opacity below the convective envelope. Several of these models show definite improvements such that most of the remaining sources of discrepancies are located in the convective envelope and mainly in its outermost layers where the superadiabatic gradient is large. The models have also been compared with Basu’s seismic model. In the domain of confidence of the latter, the relative differences in sound speed is less than 0.1% for models which fit best the observed frequencies.

Influence of heavy element and rotationally induced diffusions on the solar models
We present the results of solar model computation done with the latest Livermore opacities. Models without diffusion, with hydrogen diffusion only and with hydrogen and heavy elements diffusion are considered. The influence of mixing below the convective envelope induced by rotation and angular momentum losses is also discussed. The sound speed of our best model, does not deviate from that of B...
متن کاملRotation, Diffusion, and Overshoot in the Sun: Effects on the Oscillation Frequencies and the Neutrino Flux
We have studied the importance of the combined effects of rotation, diffusion, and convective overshoot on the p-mode oscillation spectrum and the neutrino flux of the standard solar model. To isolate the various physical affects included in the new rotation plus diffusion models we also constructed solar models to test the significance of diffusion and of overshoot by themselves. In previous s...

We address the question how accurately stellar ages can be determined by stellar evolution theory. We select the star with the best observational material available-our Sun. We determine the solar age by fitting solar evolution models to a number of observational quantities including several obtained from helioseismology, such as photospheric helium abundance or p-mode frequencies. Different ca...
متن کاملOne-Dimensional Electrolyzer Modeling and System Sizing for Solar Hydrogen Production: an Economic Approach
In this paper, a solar based hydrogen production in the city of Tehran, the capital of Iran is simulated and the cost of produced hydrogen is evaluated. Local solar power profile is obtained using TRNSYS software for a typical parking station in Tehran. The generated electricity is used to supply power to a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer for hydrogen production. Dynamic nature of s...

A novel solar-based combined system which is consisting of a concentrated PV, a double effect LiBr-H2O absorption chiller, and a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) is proposed for hydrogen production. A portion of the received energy is recovered to run a double effect absorption chiller and the rest is turned into electricity, being consumed in the PEM electrolyzer for hydrogen producti...
